The parts of the dresses that are shaded is meant to be African print, while the parts that are not are plain colored fabric.

During my internship at Renee clothing store based in Ghana, I had to keep in mind that many of Renee's clients preferred conservative outfits that were stylish and functional. However at the time there was a trend of combining Batik fabric aka African print, with fabric with no patterns. So I tried basing my designs with this trend in mind.
